And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. (Isaiah 58:11)
The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. (Psalm 25:9)
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (Psalm 32:8)
How much do I want the guidance of God! God promises to guide me if I care for his poor. God promises to guide my judgment (my decision making faculties) if I am meek (if I am willing to be influenced) and to teach me the road (way) I should go. God will not give me orders or push me in the direction he wants, he will teach and guide me so that I learn to make right decisions on my own. Perhaps it is only the very weakest Christians that God props up with the crutch of signs and wonders. A very intriguing thought.
